Autumn Walks

Today I picked up my new camera, and Dave and I decided to take a short walk before dinner this evening so that I could try it out. I love this time of year, when the trees are starting to go through their Autumnal changes and nature is beginning to wind down for the year.

Ponies, blackberries, fields, and ferns

We didn’t stray far from home (there is a nature reserve literally on our doorstep) but we just wanted to test my camera out and get some fresh air. I’m pleased! Why the new camera though? My Canon was getting on a bit, and in a week’s time we are going to Rome, so we both agreed that it would be good to get a nice new camera, so that I can really do the architecture and scenery justice!

Fircones – I love this one!

Work has progressed well in our lounge – the plasterers finished today (apart from the coving) so it’s really starting to take shape now! We’re looking forward to seeing it all finished now, but it will still be a few weeks work. Exciting though!
