Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens

Today I got to spend the day with one of my dearest friends, Nicky. We don’t get to see each other as much as I would like, but when we do get together we go all out. And today we opted to visit the Subtropical Gardens in Abbotsbury.

Wonderful viewpoint over the Chesil

It has been many, many years since I last visited the gardens, and I never went the whole way around them then, so today was a real treat. The best plants had to be the hydrangeas – the colours were absolutely gorgeous.

After over 2hrs exploring and catching up, we had a delicious lunch in the restaurant, followed by a good browse in the gift shop! We then drove to the Dansel Gallery, in the village – this is a place that I was always taken as a child whenever we visited Abbotsbury (my Dad was born there).

It’s been such a fantastic day, and I really great way to start my week off! Who could ask for more than a day spent with a really special friend ♥ Tomorrow, Dave and I are embarking on a camping adventure, so I’ll see you all later in the week!
