So, I recently realised that I finished Dave’s giant blanket 2 years ago, but never actually got round to taking proper pictures of it. The size is an issue, so I just never bothered. At the moment, it is downstairs in the spare room though, so I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures this morning! Long awaited but here we go!
For those who are new to my little world, the pattern is the Sherbet Dip Blanket pattern by Nicki Trench, which featured in one of the early issues of Simply Crochet magazine. It was great fun to make – or would have been, if there weren’t 361 squares! I really wanted to make something big enough for a double bed though, so it certainly manages that!
It took me 2 years to make, with a few breaks in between. By the end of it, I never wanted to make another square again haha! I do love it though, as does Dave. He chose the colours, and I positioned all of the squares so that no colour is repeated next to one of the same colour!
Anyway, it only took me 2 years to bring you this finished project update – sorry about that! I just thought you’d all like to see how it eventually turned out!
