Owls and Blankets

This was originally going to be a progress entry, to show you how far I have come with my blanket since I last mentioned it. However, I was then introduced to the Dorset Wildlife Trust website, and the owl webcam page! Well, obviously, being an owl addict and having the opportunity to sit and watch Barn and Tawny owl nesting boxes was too tempting for me, and I’m not quite sure where the last half an hour has gone!

Tawny owl chicks

There are three hatched Tawny chicks in the nesting box, and I managed a stealth print screen while their Mum went outside earlier. They’re so cute!

I could literally watched this all night! I’ll probably check in again before I go to bed! So adorable…

Anyway, the real purpose of this entry was to show you the latest round on my blanket. I’ve finished the first darker blue and have moved onto a really pretty cyan colour.

Next round will be another of dark blue

Prior to stitching in the lighter blue

I’ve worked out, according to the dimensions on the pattern, that I’m about a quarter of the way through. So it’ll be pretty big when it’s finished! How do you think I’m doing so far?
