Sunshine & Shadows

My second finished project post for the day! After a year of work, I finished my Sunshine & Shadow throw, from my first afghan pattern book by Melody Griffiths! I’m really pleased with how it turned out, although it is a little wavy. I made a mistake on the edging stitches but was beyond the point of no return by the time I realised. However, I don’t think it’s too much of a problem!

Despite the massive timescale this took me, I’m happy. I actually finished all of the squares ages ago, but found myself getting bored on the edging. It’s my classic problem of repetition and becoming distracted! But I gave myself a date to finish and finally got it done, and destroyed my backlog of projects! I have donated this blanket to the Weldmar Hospice, in Dorchester.

Onwards and upwards, I am now working on another Melody Griffiths project! Blog post coming soon!
